This honey will be 3 months old tomorrow. He is a little sweetie. No giggling yet but plenty of cooing and smiling to entertain us.
He has taken to his little llama and loves feeling the fur against his cheek. He attacks the ears and the face of it with his mouth.
He continues to sleep so well at night. He goes down around 7:30pm and wakes up between 3am and 4am to eat. Then he sleeps again until 6:30 or 7. Naps have maybe improved a little bit. Maybe? Some days seem a little better than others. More often than not he wakes up crying and acting like something hurts 20 minutes into his nap. Gas pain. The worst. Gas blows.
I think he has a different look than the other boys. The top of his head is more narrow and so his cheek bones stick out. His little features remind me of the boys but his head shape seems to be more like Drew's and that gives him his own unique look.
Benjamin read on a cereal box the other morning the word "willpower". Will makes less "Willy Goat" sounds now and is a very strong little boy so Benjamin thought "Willpower" seemed more fitting for our 3 month old.
He loves attention. He lives for the weekend when he has 6 people doting on him and playing with him. During the week when Stella is busy playing with her friends that I watch and I am trying to get housework done, he fusses and cries until I carry him around with me.
There have been so many mamas in our town that have lost babies in this past year. Too many. Three of them were little boys late in the pregnancy with the most recent loss being this week. I am continually reminded that each day with this little person is a precious gift. So I celebrate three months with my son and in the same breath hold these grieving mamas in prayer. Lord, be near to the brokenhearted.
We love you, precious boy.
