Boy or Girl
I am 20 weeks today--halfway through this pregnancy already! Where has the time gone? We will have an ultrasound on May 13th and if the little one cooperates we'll be finding out the gender of this child. Woohoohoo. Makes my heart skip a little beat. Benjamin is convinced it's a girl and Isa is convinced it's a boy. Isa was the only one of us that guessed right on Tim and Kristi's babe so I feel like I should go with her gut instinct.
And I smile thinking of Isa sandwiched between all boys. She will feel like the princess of this house and will never lack for a protector (although I imagine she won't often need one and may instead be the one defending her brothers).
I would be thrilled if we were having another girl. I would love to give Isa a sister. My sister was my dearest friend and encourager. Sisters can talk and laugh and cry and sharpen each other like none other. It is the sweetest of bonds.
I would love to have another little girl walking around the house smothering...I mean mothering...Care Bears and babies. The instinct a little girl has to mother is one of the sweetest and most amazing things to witness.
And let's be real, who doesn't love to dress a little girl? Absolutely, I would love to dig all of her clothes out for another little lady.
If it's a girl, I'll be a little sad that I won't have another little boy to snuggle. If it's a boy, I'll be a little sad that I won't have another little girl to snuggle. I'm so glad I am not the one that has to decide. We can't wait to see what the Lord has formed in my womb. Boy or girl, this child is fearfully and wonderfully made. Oh Praise Him!

Friends
My friend, Gwen, and I were both short a husband last Thursday for most of the evening. We took the kids to the park and they played hard for a long time. When we got back to our apartment, they all crashed in front of Toy Story while Gwen and I sat and enjoyed the silence. Isaac and Samuel never sit and watch movies so it was a rare treat for us to have uninterrupted conversation.

A Big Week
Benjamin got a bike this week and handed down his Toot Scoot to Samuel. Samuel is cruising around like the little stud that he is and getting smiles from everyone he passes.
After about 6 back breaking laps (for Drew) around the sidewalks behind Morris, Benjamin took off on his own. I could not stop the tears. I think learning how to ride a bike is such a huge childhood accomplishment. Unfortunately, we have no way to shoot video right now because our Elf died so I'll have to just remember the moment in my brain and in my heart.

Private
By the way, I currently have 20 more people that read our blog than blogger allows. I didn't realize that if you went private there was a limit on how many readers you could have. I don't feel right about eliminating people that have supported and prayer for our family for years--almost all of which we know personally. So as of right now, the blog will remain public. Still praying for wisdom on this decision.
Drew has now finally locked the hacker out of all of our accounts and we hope to never hear from him again. He does obviously know our names but hopefully cares more about acquiring money than he does about looking at pictures of us on our blog.

Quotes of the Day
I made chocolate chip cookies tonight. Isa loves to dip things so she was dipping her cookies in milk. She finished up her milk and at the bottom of the cup were two little chunks of cookie. She got a funny look on her face as she was peering into her glass. Then she looked up at me and said, "Those my teeth, mama?" I assured her that her teeth did not fall out. I've been chuckling about that all night. Her expression and concern were priceless.
Earlier today, Drew held the treat bowl (a bowl that is always full of random candy from Halloween, Valentines, Easter, Preschool parties, etc.) down for Sam to pick one. He stood there doing his usual, "Ummmm. Ummmmm. Ummmm." He usually ends the 'ums' by saying, "That one!" when he finally decides. But today he dropped his hands down and said, "That's boring." Benjamin went into hysterical giggling. That is definitely a phrase he has heard from Benjamin but doesn't know quite how to use yet.

Private
Update 4/5/10: We found out this morning that friends today are still receiving emails from the hacker. We are working on figuring out how he is still doing this. Please let us know if you get any more emails from "Drew in the U.K."
I have thought about making our blog private for a long time but knew that if I did, it wouldn't show up in people's Google Reader. And I love my Google Reader. Drew's email account and Facebook account were hacked into Friday and the guy or girl that did it was trying to google chat with our friends and convince them Drew was in trouble and needed money. He had control of Drew's email a good 24 hours before Drew was able to regain control with Gmail's help. The whole thing was a little unsettling and so I think we're going private. I am trying to compile a list of people that read our blog and would like to be invited to read our private blog. If you could just leave a comment with your email, I will add you to the list. Or you can email me at bekahmoser [at] gmail [dot] com.

Visit to the Lusks
We had a wonderful week with our friends and our kids absolutely loved being with their new friends, Noah and William. They did really, really well on the road trip down. I think I was the only one that got really grumpy on the road trip. I was ready to get out and not be climbing all over the car playing stewardess. Thankfully, their good attitudes kept me in check.
