Halloween

Isa had said all month that she was going to be a ballerina for Halloween. Yesterday morning she got really grumpy and decided she didn't want to be anything for Halloween. I told her she didn't have to dress up and she could go as Isa. We were getting ready to head out the door and Drew threw out there, "Do you want to be a soccer player?" She got really excited about that idea and she owned her costume. :)

New Hobby

Sudoku is Benjamin's new favorite activity. He is amazingly good at them and can honestly do the puzzle as fast or faster than I can.

Donkey Kong and Funky Kong

Benjamin really wanted to be Donkey Kong for Halloween and he convinced Sam to be Funky Kong (Mario characters). Benjamin kept telling us we needed to find Sam some 'broken jeans'. I didn't want to cut any of Sam's jeans off so I convinced Benjamin that Sam would be fine with navy shorts. They had so much fun together.

Kristi is here! It's been so wonderful to have her here with us. We miss you, Tim and Samantha. Kristi made Isa this hat for her birthday. She looks darling in it.

Benjamin was holding Stella and told Sam that he needed help holding her legs up. Teamwork! (Sam: Okay, BenJAmin, my hold her 'egs' and you hold her belly!)
More cuddles later in the day...
I was feeding Stella in the living room and could hear lots of giggling coming from Stella's room. A few moments later, Isa came pushing Sam out in the car seat/stroller. Samuel of course had helped himself to the pacifier in the car seat. After I took a picture of them, I asked Sam to give me Stella's paci and he said, "I'm just pretending." I told him it is not pretending if he has it in his mouth. He gave it up very reluctantly.

Other than the tornado weather today, we have had such a beautiful, warm fall. I don't want it to go away! We have enjoyed lots of walks and playing at the Sammy fountains on campus.

Stella and mommy LOVE the Moby Wrap. It is by far the most comfortable way to wear your baby. I should be their spokeswoman.

Stella Claire had her daddy all teared up last night with her smiles and coos. :) Look how fat her face is already. Cracks me up.
Samuel insisted on wearing a headband like "Baby Tella".
Before school one morning, Stella was all smiles for Benjamin. He was so excited.

Visit

My mom and Grandma brought Sam his bed yesterday so we got to have a nice visit with them.
Stella kept resting her little hand on Grandma's hand. Old and new. :) Sweet.

Big Day!

Last night was Samuel's first night in a big bed. Benjamin and Samuel were equally excited about it. They giggled and carried on for over an hour after we tucked them in. It was too cute to break up so we had two tired boys this morning.

Sleeper

I recently pulled up some clothes that I had taken to Guatemala when we went to meet Eloisa for the first time. Isa was 5 1/2 months old here.
And Miss Stella is 5 weeks old. What?! I didn't realize how tiny Isa was until right now. Isa was obviously much thicker at 5 1/2 months than Stella is right now but they are basically the same length. Isa was so excited to look at pictures of herself in the same outfit. It was very cute.

Weekend in Chicago

Thanks to our fabulous husbands, my lovely friends and I got to spend two nights in Chicago this weekend. We rested, ate good food and browsed in stores as long as we wanted without children tugging on our arms and rushing us along. Miss Stella Claire went along and was a perfect little baby. She likes the city.

Happy Happy Fall!

Could this weather BE any more beautiful?! Here are my four beautiful munchkins after church today:

4 Weeks

Her grumpy face.
I know babies don't usually start smiling until around 6 weeks but the past two days she has looked right at me and smiled in response to my smile. Melt.my.heart.
It is such a bummer this picture is completely off center. I couldn't really tell where I was aiming the camera. I was holding the camera beside my head because Drew wasn't around and she wouldn't smile unless she could see my face.

Lounging

We are loving the crazy warm weather! We finally made it to a TU football game today. Stella and Benjamin had the most comfortable seats.
