What a week. We had a great but exhausting (we're still recovering) week spent in the Okanagan Valley. The kids did amazing. Better than I expected. However, Benjamin was so excited about camping and all the people that he never napped and towards the end of the week that caught up to him and he became somewhat dramatic. Eloisa napped but not enough and when she gets tired she becomes quite the screamer (If you have never heard one of her outbursts, just trust me, she's loud.) Our week in pictures below:
We worked on bell peppers all week: green, red, yellow, orange. We now challenge each of you to a slicing/seeding contest. We will whoop you all. :)
Dining with all the volunteers each day was a blessing.
The Gleaners take what volunteers chop all summer, and then during the winter they put the dehydrated vegetables into a soup mix. This bag will make 50 servings of soup for the hungry.
We were incredibly blessed to be granted one of the three little RVs on site. That made for a much easier week on our family. Benjamin picked up this Bob the Builder hat at the thrift store in town. He was very excited.
Samuel spent a lot of time chilling in his car seat. He was the perfect, laid back baby this trip.
Another mom and I took the kids blueberry picking on Thursday. I told Benjamin we were going to Covert Farms and he kept saying, "Where go cow? Where go sheep?" I told him it was a fruit farm where we were going to pick blueberries to which he responded, "No like blueberries." (I think he OD'ed on blueberries when he was one because he has refused to eat them for two years.) Once I convinced him that all his favorite people liked them and really wanted him to pick them some, he got really into it and took his berry picking very seriously. Eloisa just shoved everything she saw in her mouth. She did not understand the concept of only eating the blue ones. She made some pretty hilarious faces as she ate white ones, yellow ones, pink ones, etc. I told the owner that I should pay him for an extra half pound of blueberries because I am pretty sure that is how many Isa ate. He just laughed.

First dip in the lake. It was pretty cold but he didn't seem to mind. Jay and Megan, he looked adorable in the little swim outfit you got him. The little shirt is already too tight so his little gut kept making the shirt roll up.
This was a perfect lake for the kids. It was shallow forever so they could walk out really far and still be only waist deep.

Thanks so much for your prayers for our family. You are all such a blessing. I am off to do 6 loads of laundry. Fun times!

Benjamin wanted cookies, candy and fruit snacks the moment he woke up this morning. I was able to hold him off until about 9:00. :)

We had a great week with Drew's parents and were sad to see them go this morning. All we need is one more kid and then Ron would have had someone to hold in this photo. Ha ha. Once tweedle dum and tweedle dee are in school, we may consider another....or maybe not.
Yep. Craigslist comes through for us again. Free leather couch. (So there are some broken springs on the left side that cause you to sink down about a foot but hey, the right side is perfect.) She's a beauty and now we are able to part with the itchy wool couch with 16 cushions that Benjamin took off daily to line up down the hall for somersaults. We spoiled all his fun but he still approves of the new sofa.

Trying to stay cool the other night. Since we are so far North, there is no air conditioning (and no fans for that matter...Nana, better bring your own little hand held fan in July!). Benjamin is becoming such a big boy...sweaty all of the time because he never stops running.
Isa and Mama. I wish I had this girl's wardrobe. Amazing how many cute clothes she has from my 22 months of waiting to bring her home and only buying clothes on sale for $3 or under. :)

So I realized in doing this post that Drew has been taking all of the pictures. I will reclaim the camera this week so that he is actually in some pictures with his children.
