ac.ces.sor.ize, verb:

to choose or wear accessories.  It wasn't until we actually got to the soccer field last night that I took a good look at Isa and laughed out loud.  I was thankful I brought my camera.  I couldn't get the camera to focus for 75% of the photos which was confusing.  Grrr.  Oh well, I got enough to remind me of how fun it is to watch this brother/sister pair on the field together.  It was hot but they had fun and worked hard.
 Focus.
 Form.

 Fashion.
Sam is one of two youngest and smallest players on the team.  He gets in there without any hesitation. Small but confident boy in hot pink.

Last Days of Summer Break

The kids went to Bible School two weeks ago.  I took Isaac with us one night.  There are cars and people everywhere dropping off kids.  We were trying to cross the street.  Sam said, "Isaac, hold my hand because this is a really busy road."  Isaac said, "Yeah, and because we are 'cheese-us' (Jesus) brothers in Christ."  I wish I had him saying it on video because it was so hilarious and cute.
We took the kids to see Despicable Me 2.  They were so excited to go to the theater since it is something we rarely do.  Isa spent the second half of the movie on my lap and covering her face.  She does not do well with any bad guys.  Her preferred movie would include only a kind protagonist with zero antagonists.
 Little Miss Stella.
Isa gave Stella a birthday card a month early.  She was working on it in her room for awhile and then asked if she could give it to her early because she was so proud of it.
The boys are using their money to buy airplanes.
We went to the State Fair on Friday.  The girls were awed by these moths and butterflies.
There was a man there that asked Stella if she wanted to hold his hissing cockroach.  I was totally shocked when she said, "yes."  Gross.

Worlds largest popcorn ball.  6,000 and some pounds.
My favorite part was a little Hands on the Farm area.  The kids collected produce, gathered eggs, planted seeds, rode tractors, milked cows, fed animals, sold their produce, and used the money from their sales at the store to pick out a treat.

At the DNR building, they had a chance to fish.  Thankfully, they all caught one.
Stella decided she wanted nothing to do with it once hers was out of the water.

Sad to see break end.  I love having my buddies home.

School Begins

Where did the summer go?!  I feel like we just put back packs away.  The kids were all wild and excited this morning.  Samuel was so excited to be headed off with the older siblings.

Isa and Benjamin were explaining the ins and outs of the school to Sam at breakfast this morning.  They are happy to take care of him.

Samuel's teacher said we were welcome to walk him to class from the gym.  I asked Sam if he wanted us to walk with him or just go.  His response, "You can just go."

I was fine until he walked away without looking back.  I made a quick and teary escape out of the school. Seems like yesterday that he stole my heart in the hospital as a little babe.  They're supposed to grow up, I guess.
